PUBLIC SPACE PROTECTION ORDER 2026

The 2024 PSPO is currently under review by the Council

Public Space Protection Orders are managed by the Council and are normaly reviewed every 3 years.

The 2024 PSPO (Dog Control) is due for review in 2027.

In order to make additional dog control measures required at Accrinton Cemetary an unexpected review is currently underway.

As a stakeholders in previous consultations, we are disappointed that we have not been informed of this review.

This review asks questions relating to sports pitches which includes Memorial Park Playing field.

We have been advised by the potfolio holder for parks that the 2027 review will stilll proceed as planned.  Following feedback from the 2024 survey, this 2027 review should include a question regarding dogs being required to be on leads in Hyndburn Parks
