The Friends of Memorial Park, Prospects Foundation and Hyndburn Borough Council invite you pack a picnic, pick up a chair and join us for a PICNIC IN THE PARK on Sunday 18th August from 12pm.
Join the Family Treasure Hunt, go Bug Hunting, visit our new Forest School or just sit back and be entertained by the famous Stacksteads Brass Band or a performance of Frozen JR by the youngster’s of ReAct Academy.
Everyone welcome to this Free to Attend event organised to celebrate our successful Heritage Lottery bid and the resulting transformation of your park.
We look forward to meeting you all for a wonderful Sunday afternoon of entertainment

This event was attended by hunndres of peopole who enjoyed a fantatastic day out. The weather was kind and the catering excellent.
The treasure hunt solution was PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN was won by a team from Haslingden who called themselves "A couple of Pratts". The “Treasure” was a £50 gift voucher for JB Sports donated by Friends of Memorial Park. The group also gave out free printed pens and buisiness card with each entry along with free lolly pops to all the young children.
